Online OCD and Anxiety Treatment for Adults Throughout California
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) working with adults dealing with fear-based symptoms related to OCD, social anxiety, and other anxiety issues. I particularly enjoy helping individuals who self-describe as perfectionists, those who believe they are getting in their own way of living the life they want. Learn more about how I could help below.

What if I suddenly lose control and impulsively jump over this bridge?
Why do I keep having gruesome images of my dog, does that mean I want to hurt him?
I must pray 3 times every time I see the number 13. Otherwise, something bad might happen to my loved ones.
What if I don’t really love my partner? Have I just been pretending this whole time?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder presents with distressing recurring obsessions (thoughts, doubts, mental images, or urges) followed by physical or mental compulsions that one is compelled to engage in to cope with a feared outcome.
Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) can help you learn to confront things you’ve been avoiding or encountering with great difficulty. You will learn how to relate to your obsessions and challenging feelings in a more effective way.
Inference-based CBT (I-CBT) can teach you to stay out of an obsessional narrative created by a reasoning process that doesn’t work. OCD has you over-relying on possibility, taking facts out of context, and distrusting your senses- learn how to change that.
If this sounds like your struggle, there’s help out there. Evidence-based treatments like ERP Therapy or I-CBT can help. Read on below!
Specialized OCD Treatment
Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP)
ERP involves confronting your fears through exposure exercises while learning how to resist compulsions. Eliminating compulsive behaviors will teach your brain that they aren’t necessary. Your feared outcome is not as likely as OCD has convinced you, and you can handle the distress better than you think. You will practice exposure exercises during and in between sessions. Your therapist will provide you with education, support, and guidance throughout this process.
Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT)
I-CBT is based on the idea that a faulty reasoning process leads to the formation of obsessions. By understanding how your obsessions developed in the first place and learning to apply a more adaptive reasoning process (the one you use every day outside of OCD), you’ll learn to stop the obsession before it even happens. I-CBT is a non-exposure treatment and entails going through a series of educational modules and applying new cognitive skills in and out of sessions.
